The EPM Foundation -Medellin Public Companies Foundation-, one of the most important non-profit organizations in Colombia, implemented the UNIT4 ERP management software in 2018 with the help of GCON4. The EPM Foundation was created in 2000 to meet the social needs of comprehensive development in the territories of influence of the Business Group.
Ana María Espinosa, Administrative and Financial Director of the EPM Foundation, shares with us how during the confinement by COVID-19 the Foundation was subjected to a new challenge. The projects and activities of the EPM Foundation could not be stopped, as the health crisis affects the most vulnerable communities most strongly.
“With the coronavirus, poverty is not confined, but is expanding, and in the fight against poverty and supporting the communities of our region, the EPM plays a fundamental role. Therefore, we were aware that we could not stop our activity of helping those most in need“.
However, thanks to the implementation of the Unit4 ERP management software through GCON4, the EPM Foundation managed to make an easy and orderly transition to work from home for its entire work team. The new system has allowed them to continue fighting against poverty, from another place but with the same way of working.
For his part, Luis Alberto Viñas, Vice President of Sales of GCON4, is convinced that it was not only about the implementation of a management system, but that the work with the EPM Foundation served to provide them with the capacity of resilience to changes such as the that the pandemic has brought.
“It is a new environment, a sudden change, and we are very happy that our work with EPM Foundation serves to face this challenge that I am sure, we will overcome very soon”.
