Through its partner GCON4, Unit4 has shown its interest in the Valle del Cuaca (Valley Cauca) for the installation of a support and service center for Colombia and Latin America. This approach ratifies the efforts made by the Governor Dilian Francisca Toro Torres to turn the Valley Cauca into an intelligent and innovative territory.

“The arrival of these people of the European community and big international companies have the intention to not only bring IT solutions to the region but also to establish in Valley Cauca the mechanisms to generate software factories and support management throughout Latin America,” said Frank Ramírez, Secretary ICT of Valley Cauca.
At the same time, he said that
“basically what we want is for foreign companies to generate world-class solutions for our entities. This support, service and development is not only done from the outside, but to realise that in Vally Cauca we too have a number of universities. There is a huge human talent that has been formed at the highest level.”
The investment would bring higher productivity for the department, universities, private companies, among other sectors.

Jeremías Jansson, Regional President of Unit4 in Europe, indicated that
“It gives us the possibility of increasing here an added value in terms of what it is to generate employment, knowledge and give universities a world-class tool so that they can carry out all their research processes in a more effective way.”
For his part, Jerome Froment-Curtil, manager of Unit4 for southern Europe, said that
“It is a business that excites us a lot, that brings the private sector and the public sector together. Unit4 specializes in working with municipalities, non-profit entities and universities. This new project in Valley Cauca fits very well the mission of the company”.
This support center for European investors would consolidate Cali and Valley Cauca as the epicenter of logistics and service centers for Colombia and all of Latin America.
